Cessation of all competitive and friendly games

West Cork Schoolboys League Cessation of all competitive and friendly games

All games scheduled to be played in the West Cork Schoolboys League will be postponed for a period of 3 weeks from midnight on Tuesday the 6th of October.

This course of action is necessary following this afternoons announcement by the government that the country will move to Level 3 COVID restrictions nationally.

This cessation includes both competitive fixtures as well as friendly games.

Training can for the time being proceed at all clubs affiliated to the West Cork Schoolboys League however all clubs should conform with the public health regulations as well as the FAI safer return to training protocols in their provision of training.

All coaches must continue to be familiar with the updated FAI safer return to training protocol.

Please note that the maximum number of players permitted in an underage group session is 15 (13 players and minimum two coaches). More than one team can train at a venue at any given time provided there is a clear buffer zone between the groups.

Only one parent or guardian is permitted to accompany a player to training and may remain at the venue providing they adhere to a two-meter social distancing protocol.

All designated COVID compliance officers are advised to revisit their initial COVID risk assessment and ensure ongoing compliance to established public health infection control measures whilst participating in training activities.
